Here's a look at some of the most common things pregnant women regret not doing during their pregnancy so that you don't have to make the same mistake!
Things to do during your pregnancy
1. Taking bump progress photos
This is a a common regret many moms wish they would have done during their pregnancy, me included!
It would have been fun to look back at old photos during my pregnancy, but at the time I was going through severe hyperemesis gravidarum so I didn't have the energy to.
2. Investing in a maternity bra
We all hear about maternity clothes, but maternity bras are another very important part of pregnancy! They help provide support and are comfortable too.
3. Maternity photos
Another common wish many moms wish they could go back and do was a professional maternity photo. You know the one with the fancy dress and third trimester bump!
If this isn't your first baby, a family portrait with your bump is another keepsake you will cherish.
4. Take prenatal vitamins that help with nausea
I don't know why but I always figured once I started a prenatal that was it. Some of the best prenatal vitamins will actually help with nausea and morning sickness like this one from Pink Stork.
5. Wear maternity compression stockings
According to a study from the National institute's of health, maternity compression stockings help with edema (leg swelling). 100% of women who wore them in the study said they would wear them again!
6. Birth photos
Another regret new moms had was not getting birth photos taken. Some of these photos can be very emotional and definitely worth it!
7. Sending birth announcements
I had always planned to send birth announcements, but it's something that I just didn't get too and I regret it.
These are a great way to share with your family and friends, especially those who aren't on social media!

Here's a look at things pregnant moms wish they would NOT have done during their pregnancy and why.
8. Take unsolicited advice
Just about everyone you meet will offer you some kind of advice, and while a lot of times it comes from a good place, only you know what is best for your family.
9. Compare your journey to another
Your pregnancy is going to look different than your sister's and that's okay. It's important to be present and enjoy your pregnancy!
10. Taking prenatal vitamin in the morning
If you are struggling with bad morning sickness, one suggestion would be to take your prenatal vitamin at night instead of the morning.
I wished I would have learned this hack with my first pregnancy, but during my second this helped dramatically!
