Here's a list of our favorite baby bassinets, and why moms everywhere are choosing them (and you should too!)
Bassinets are a great space-saving alternative to a baby crib, but there are so many to choose from.
Best Bassinets
- Maxi-Cosi Bedside Bassinet (our top pick)
- Jimglo Bedside Sleeper Bassinet
- Graco Sense2Snooze bassinet with cry detection technology
- Besrey bassinet for baby
- Dream on Me Skylar bassinet (best bassinet for traveling)
1.Maxi-Cosi Bedside Bassinet
The Maxi-Cosi bassinet is extremely adjustable to suit your needs and folds compactly if you plan to travel.
What we like:
- It adjusts 5 different height positions
- It has a storage basket right underneath.
- Folds down easily for traveling.
- It's made with breathable mesh, so you can have it right by your bedside, and baby can still see you.
- Gorgeous design
What we don't like:
- It's a little pricey, but easily worth the investment if your home doesn't have room for a big crib.
- We wish it had wheels for easier mobility.
2. Jimglo Bedside sleeper bassinet
The Jimglo bedside bassinet is another popular option especially since it has wheels for better mobility throughout the day.
What we like:
- It has 6 height adjustments.
- It has all around breathable mesh.
- It has wheels for more mobility.
- One side zips down so you can easily comfort baby at night.
- It has a shelf below you can use for storage.
3. Graco Sense2Snooze Bassinet with cry detection technology
This Graco bassinet has a lot more bells and whistles with a feature that senses baby cry and helps soothe them back to sleep with white noise or vibration.
What we like:
- It has gentle music, nature sounds, and white noise to help baby fall back asleep.
- It has breathable mesh.
- It has wheels.
What we don't like:
- It has a couple of pockets, but a storage basket would have been better.
- It's very pricey most likely because of the extra sounds, music, and cry sense technology.
4. Besrey Bassinet for Baby
The Besrey Bassinet is another bassinet that many moms love. Especially how easy it is to move around!
What we like:
- It has a decent size storage basket underneath.
- It has breathable mesh all around it.
- It's lightweight and portable.
- It has wheels.
What we don't like:
- It doesn't have much storage, just a few pockets. We would prefer a long shelf below like some of the others above.
5. Dream on Me Skylar Bassinet
The Dream on Me bassinet is another more affordable option, but it does have a few drawbacks including it's weight limit and it's lack of storage.
What we like:
- It's very affordable.
- It's very easy to clean.
- Can be folded compactly for traveling.
- It has wheels for easier movability.
- It has 5 adjustable height positions.
What we don't like:
- It has a weight limit of 25 pounds.
- It doesn't have any storage.
Different types of baby bassinets
Here's a look at the different types of baby bassinets and why you might want one over the other.
The bedside bassinet is designed to be near your bed. They have a side that folds down, so you can easily soothe baby back to sleep. The better ones also have a shelf below for storage.
The traditional bassinet is usually more affordable and also easier to put up and take down. This makes it the ideal choice for traveling with a baby!
The third type is a rocking bassinet that has features like rocking, and music to help soothe your little one back to sleep. Because of the added features of these, expect to pay more!
