While some take time, others can start earning you money right away.

    Work from home jobs

Here's a quick look at each of them:

    • taking surveys
    • blogging
    • selling on Etsy
    • National Consumer Panel
    • Stock Photography
    • Freelance Captioner
    • Amazon Mturk
    • Freelance writing
    • Youtube
    • Virtual Assistant
    • Instagram

    1.Taking Surveys

While this is not a get-rick-quick scheme, it can definitely earn you a small amount of money with little effort. Some surveys take longer than others, but for the most part are relatively easy.

Here are a few survey website companies to join:

    Swagbucks

    Toluna

    2. Blogging

Again this is not a get-rich quick way, but it is still a way to earn money from home. Making an income from blogging takes a lot of time and dedication, but can definitely pay off in the long run.

How do bloggers make money? Well they make money a few different ways.

One way is by having advertisements on their website, and based off the number of views and/or clicks the ad gets, they get paid a small amount. Another way to make money is by affiliate links.

Affiliate links are links where if someone buys something after they clicked on a link, the blogger receives a commission.

A third way to make money is by sponsored articles where a brand may reach out to the blogger and ask them to review a product in exchange for money.

I do just want to reiterate though, it takes a long time to get to the point of making a full-time income.

    3. Etsy

Are you crafty? If you are good at making things, selling things on Etsy is another way to earn money from home.

While Etsy does take a small commission of your product, it is one of the fastest growing marketplaces for homemade goods.

Now with etsy, the sky is the limit. You can sell anything from a baby blanket, to a painting, or even digital art or graphics.

    4. National Consumer Panel

Another way to earn money from home is to sign-up for National Consumer Panel. This works in that you scan all of the barcodes for items that you buy each time you buy something.

Each shopping trip gives you 150 points, plus you can also take surveys that can easily land you an additional 150 points.

You might be asking what's so good about these points? Well...long story short you can redeem them for gifts cards, or even some really cool prizes.

Here's a breakdown on the points:

21,000 points = $25 gift card to Amazon, Overstock.com, or Itunes

41,000 points= $50 gift card to Amazon, Overstock.com, or Itunes

    5. Stock Photography

While you don't necessarily have to be a professional photographer, you can still earn money from home by selling photographs to places like shutterstock.com.

Many bloggers, myself included, like to ease of finding stock photos for articles. This is where you could submit pictures and they pay you based off of how many people buy your picture.

    Places to sell stock photos:

    Shutterstock

    Deposit Photos

    Adobe Stock

    Alamy

    Stocksy

Since these places pay you based off of how many people buy your image, you are going to want a high-quality image.

Some of the most popular pictures among bloggers would be the workspace stock photography where it shows a beautifully arranged desk with notebooks, and a computer or something similar.

    6. Freelance Captioner

Another way to earn money from home is to work as a freelance captioner. A freelance captioner watches videos and writes the captions you would find on videos.

One place you can apply to is called Rev.com. Now, take your time as they are selective and want someone who can spell things correctly, and properly edit the captioning.

They have a test you have to take that you must complete within 3 hours, so I would strongly suggest you only start the test when you have ample amount of time to focus on this.

    7. Amazon Mturk

This is another little side job that you can earn money from home, but it's not something you are going to be able to get rich doing. Many of the jobs involve typing products and amounts from a receipt onto a software, some are also captioning, and some are testing websites.

Each job pays pennies, sometimes more, but really it's not going to give you much money.

    8. Freelance Writer

Do you like to write, but don't want to hassle with the mechanics of a blog? Well, you could still earn money from home by writing for other websites.

Some companies will pay anywhere form $25-$150 if your article is accepted. Here's a list of a few websites that pay (if accepted) for freelance stories:

Wow! Women on Writing - according to their website, they pay anywhere from $50-$75

Strong Whispers-according to their website, they pay $50

Cosmopolitan-according to their website, they pay $100

    9. Youtube Star

Okay, so youtube is for the vloggers. Are you a great public speaker or can put a spin on something that can get you lots of views?

Maybe even just reviewing products or unboxing items, these are all ways you can use Youtube to earn money from home. Like blogging, this method will take a lot of time and dedication to start earning money.

    10. Virtual Assistant

Lots of bloggers and business owners need assistants to do little tasks like running Pinterest or creating pin images.

You can use this to your advantage and become a virtual assistant to help earn some extra money while never needing to leave home.

All you would need is access to the internet, a computer, and possibly a web camera for video calls.

    11. Instagram Influencer

If you LOVE instagram and are actively posting on stories, becoming an instagram influencer is another way to earn money.

As your following grows, brands reach out to you to share their products. In the beginning it's usually just product for mention until you have a sizable following.

Once you've reached the 10k followers and have a swipe up feature, start reaching out to brands to pitch them directly.

Hope this helps you earn a little extra money while you work from home!

    Things to consider

    • How young are your kids? If you have a young baby, it would be better to choose a work from home job that doesn't involve talking on the phone to clients or customers.
    • Are you wanting to work for yourself or someone else? This will narrow down the different jobs when you know what you want. If you want to work for yourself, try becoming an instagram influencer or starting a blog.
    • How much time do you have to work? Pick a job that meets these standards whether its part-time or night shift if that's what works for you.
